Miss Peregimage001rine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a book about a 16 year old boy named Jacob Portman whose life is completely ordinary until a mysterious tragedy occurs which changes everything.

Jacob finds himself traveling to an island off the cost of Whales looking for Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children, a children’s refuge. On the island, he finds the broken and bombed deserted ruins of the once happy children’s home which was destroyed on September 3rd 1940. As he looks further into the case, Jacob finds out the truth of the old deserted children’s home.

This novel is an adventure/sci-fi story which comes first in a trilogy. Present in the story is a powerful lesson surrounding the eventual need to seek out happiness in the wake of terrible situations.

This book is for the age group of 10-14 year olds.
